Overview

This is a non-personal services contract to operate and maintain the Command and Control (C2) and Infrastructure Operations for Headquarters US Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM), Major Subordinate Commands (such as, but not limited to, Trojan, NETCOM, ACOIC, and I-NOSC), both CONUS and OCONUS, 1st IO Command, and Army Cyber Command located at Fort Belvoir, VA. 

 

Support includes:  networks, hardware, software, administrative support and specialized tools at the point of customer need through effective support services. Contractor shall provide the full range of Command and Control support to include the full range of C2IO sustainment and technical support services to ensure uninterrupted service.  The systems supported consist of commercial, modified-commercial and specially designed equipment items. The scope includes the totality of C2IO system capabilities owned, operated, and managed by each site. 

Responsibilities

  • Execute Architectural Design Sessions with customers to help them develop an approach and strategy around their virtualization and Cloud Computing needs.

  • Provide guidance and recommendation on current VDI infrastructure and growth potential.

  • Provide Technical and Delivery leadership on virtualization projects involving Virtualization or Private Cloud technologies (AWS or Azure).

  • Monitor daily software builds and resolve problems as needed.

  • Create, change, and delete user accounts & groups per request.

    Grant and remove access to server and related resources.

  • Perform in-depth troubleshooting and root cause analysis while working with developers to identify problems and resolutions with in-house and over the counter software applications.

  • Configure and administrate VMware and Windows Server operating systems

  • Apply OS patches and upgrades on a regular basis, and upgrade administrative tools and utilities.

  • Configure/add new services as necessary.

  • Upgrade and configure system software per project and/or operational needs.

  • Maintain operational, configuration, or other procedures.

  • Maintain data center environmental and monitoring equipment.

  • Prepare basic reports and presentations as requested or necessary within the IT team.

  • Recommend program/project release schedules based on knowledge of software development life cycle; deliver functionality and ensures the integrity of the overall system.

  • Perform document reviews to ensure effective and appropriate environment changes and demonstrate ability to escalate needs when necessary.

  • Deploy and Maintain a multi-server, environments including: VMware cluster(s), Windows Server 2008 /2012 R2 and UNIX/LINUX platforms

  • Participate in identifying business requirements. Ensure delivered solutions meet performance expectations.

  • Recommend program/project release schedules based on knowledge of software development life cycle. Deliver functionality and ensure the integrity of the overall system

Qualifications

  • Active TS/SCI Clearance (which requires US Citizenship)
  • Required Education: Bachelor’s Degree with 4 years’ Experience; or Master’s Degree with 2 Years’ Experience; or Post-Doctorate with 0 years Experience
  • IAT Level III Certified; CISA, CISSP, GCIH, GCED or CASP
  • One (1) storage platform certification; and one (1) current certification in VMware vSphere;
  • Must have at least five (5) years of senior storage administrator experience within the last twelve (12) years; minimum of three (3) years of experience with VMware vSphere within the last seven (7) years; minimum of three (3) years of experience designing and implementing storage systems within the last seven (7) years;
