Support Services to operate and maintain the information technology networks for the U.S. Army Intelligence and Security Command (INSCOM) at Fort Belvoir and Springfield, VA, INSCOM facilities in the Continental United States (CONUS) and outside CONUS (OCONUS) to include, Major Subordinate Commands (MSCs), and MSCs and sites Outside the Continental United States (OCONUS). The support requirements include network operations, operational maintenance, storage management, service desk, information assurance, engineering & installation, application maintenance, web services and communications support for the continued operations and future maintenance of the automated systems necessary to support INSCOM’s missions.


  • Provides first contact and incident resolution to customers with hardware, software, and application problems. Includes both customer telephone support as well as electronically submitted requests
  • Provides polite and friendly customer service
  • Attempts to resolve as many incidents during the first contact, or at Tier I. Efficiently escalates incidents to higher Tier II or Tier III when required
  • Documents incident status and solutions in incident database tools.
  • Possesses current working knowledge of computers, printers, laptops, and common windows applications
  • Works through various types Tier II issues with telephone assist
  • Provides answers to Frequently Asked Questions or solutions to common problems as part of a customer self help capability




High School Diploma / GED and 8 years of relevant experience;


Associate's Degree and 6 years of experience;


Bachelor's Degree and 4 years of experience;


Master's Degree and 2 years of experience;


PhD and 0 years of experience

Required Work Experience:  
Six years of experience with either Systems Administration, Network Administration, Database Administration, or combination experience.

Certification in one of the following:  
CCNP, CCSP or Security+ certification.

Minimum Management Experience:   
At least three years of experience managing teams of at least 10 people.

Communications Skills:  
Has the communication skill to effectively interface with military officials, managers, and subordinates.

Security Clearance:  Active
