This is senior level role providing leading information technology services to our Federal clients at USPTO in Alexandria  and from our Corporate Offices.  We are seeking a talented individual who has a minimum of ten (10) years working experience in software development and technical architecture. The ideal candidate will want to work in a highly dynamic and fast paced environment where he or she works closely with our internal and external clients.


  • Provide software development technical expertise and guidance to key stakeholders on a variety of enterprise scale applications and projects;
  • Work closely with clients, project managers, business analysts, and software developers in order to develop effective and high-quality enterprise software solutions;
  • Ensure that appropriate methods and tools for the planning, development, testing, operation, management and maintenance of systems are adopted and used effectively throughout the organization;
  • Understand and apply a variety of project life-cycles, methods, and software development techniques;
  • Identify the use of new and emerging hardware, software and communication technologies and products, services, methods and techniques, and the assessment of their relevance and potential value as business enablers, improvements in cost/performance or sustainability;
  • Promote emerging technology awareness among staff and business management;
  • Understand and follow policies and procedures such as change management, project governance, configuration management, and release management.


  • Strong knowledge of systems architecture concepts and methods;
  • Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering or a related discipline, or equivalent combination of experience and education;
  • Minimum (10) years technical architecture experience preferably with strategic and enterprise level applications/solutions;
  • Experience with ASP.Net, VB.Net, C#, JQuery and other technologies required.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills;
  • Highly self-motivated and capable of working with minimal supervision;
  • Advanced expertise in a variety of technologies and products;
  • Experience with Agile and DevOps
  • Certifications in information technology, technical architecture, and related products including Scrum Master, TOGAF, OpenCA, PMP, ITIL, etc. is considered an asset 
  • Able to support Corporate ongoing proposal work
