Overview

Provide program, system, logistics, configuration management, and documentation support services for the U.S. Coast Guard Director of Acquisition Programs/Program Executive Officer and Surface Programs, as well as individual surface programs: In-Service Vessel Sustainment Program, Fast Response Cutter Program, Boats Program, Major Acquisition System Infrastructure (MASI) Program, and Polar Sea Service Life Extension Program (SLEP).

Responsibilities

Examples of work to be performed include: Development of documents to support Acquisition Decision Events in accordance with the Major Systems Acquisition Manual COMDTINST M5000.10D, including briefs, reports and acquisition program management plans; development includes drafting, technical editing, coordination of document review, compilation and adjudication of comments, version tracking and routing for signature; technical review of program contract documents received from prime system contractors including plans, engineering drawings, calculations and logistics analyses and artifacts; provide assistance with tasks associated with general scheduling, data management, communications, logistics and technical tasks; engineering Change Proposal and Time Compliant Task Order development and revision, document research, reviewing and revising asset specifications and drawings, providing acquisition and administrative support, providing subject matter expertise in areas such as combat systems, air systems, C4ISR systems, infrastructure and facilities, and testing support of the HM&E and C4ISR systems; support also includes cost analysis, procurement support, and the review and editing of existing work products and analyses.

Qualifications

  • BA/BS Degree with 5 yrs exp, 10 yrs exp if no BA/BS
  • Acquisition Logistics Experience
  • USCG Major System Acquisition Experience
  • USCG Experience
  • DoD Major System Acquisition Experience 
  • Able to pass a Homeland Security background check.
