Technical Writer/Analyst

The Technical Writer/Analyst will collaborate with customers and stakeholders in high visibility, fast-paced U.S. Federal Government environment to capture technical process and requirements and to write and maintain system documentation. Develop training documentation and plans. Deliver training to system users and stakeholders. Secret Clearance required. Overseas travel required 20% of the time.


  • Interview and work cross functionally with system stakeholders and senior level Government officials to document technical and functional requirements and system development and process artifacts.
  • Receive and manage process and technical documentation from other contractors. Review documents and provide recommendations and feedback on improving process and technical documentation.
  • Coordinate process with all departments to maintain a clear line of sight for project deliverables and timelines supporting a strong Project Management Office (PMO) function.
  • Attend meetings and maintain notes and records of project status and action items.
  • Organize process and technical documentation and supports project completion in accordance with customer and stakeholder process requirements.
  • Edit, standardize, and revise documentation prepared by other team members.
  • Communicate project status and actions to teams and stakeholders involved in each project.
  • Develops, documents, and provides training to system stakeholders, Government officials, and other users.
  • Travel overseas to deliver training and attend necessary meetings with stakeholders and Government officials.
  • Support IT PMO process improvement activities
  • Recommend and implement changes at project and system levels.
  • Drive change and improvement across the organization.
  • Performs other duties as assigned that support the overall IT PMO objective and US Government stakeholder mission


Basic Qualifications:

  • Requires bachelor degree and at least 3 years of experience providing similar Technical Writing and Analytical services.
  • High degree of competency in Microsoft Office products, especially MS Word, PowerPoint, Project, and Excel.
  • Active Secret Clearance
  • Ability to travel overseas and current Passport

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to facilitate conversations to elicit processes and requirements details, and to convey technical information to others, and to gain cooperation from others.
  • Basic knowledge of system development lifecycle approaches.
  • Working knowledge of technical training methods and communications styles.
  • Problem solving skills to identify and remedy problems.
  • Well-developed knowledge of and skill at using Excel, queries, databases, and business software.
