Overview

Come be a part of our Nation’s defense history. EIS is looking for qualified individuals ready to support the 33rd Network Warfare Squadron (NWS) Computer Response Team at Lackland Air Force Base, San Antonio, TX. The 33rd NWS has a history dating back to World War II. The 33rd NWS is the US Air Force’s principal (and sole) network defense element within the Air Force Network Operations Center. Being an active part of this unit means monitoring, securing, and protecting Air Force and Central Command global networks, ensuring network integrity, reliability, availability, confidentiality and responding to hostile network threats and attacks.

Responsibilities

  • Perform the training and instruction during core hours (M-F 0730-1630) in the Directorate of Maintenance. The candidate will develop and maintain certification and proficiency for the employees conducting Maintenance Training IAW the Squadron's current MA OI 33-150. All training requirements shall comply with the local and Higher Headquarters (HHQ) instructions and regulations.
  • Develop and document training objectives, in coordination with the COR, IAW the operational planning and direction of the 33 NWS Director of Maintenance. The candidate will develop, document, and maintain the 33 NWS maintenance training plan, subject to approval by the COR. The candidate will maintain all training documents in electronic form and store on maintained shared network drive location.
  • Provide training to 33 NWS and support personnel to further enhance their organizational, technical, and functional knowledge of computer security, weapons system maintenance, sensor deployment, Comm Focal Point responsibilities, systems integration, and project management.
  • Provide on-the-job training (OJT) and recurring training of 24 individuals assigned to conduct the 33 NWS maintenance mission and technical support.
  • Provide classroom teaching to Government personnel and other contractors assigned to conduct the 33 NWS maintenance mission and technical support.
  • Personnel shall be trained IAW AFI’s governing cyber maintenance and QA for all functions before training others. Contractor personnel shall also accomplish an eight (8) hour refresher shift every sixty (60) days with the Maintenance Focal Point technicians, Operations Support Technicians and Crew Chiefs.

Qualifications

  • HS Degree and 3 to 5 years of relevant experience with preference for DoD experience.

  • Active TS/SCI clearance required. (US Citizens Only)

  • Current IAT Level II IS (CompTIA Security+ CE, GSEC, SSCP, or CCNA-Sec) required

  • Current MCP or CCNA or VCP certification required
