Overview

The Space and Naval Warfare Systems Center (SPAWARSYSCEN) needs infrastructure and network security services for their SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic operations. The Network Services IPT provides and maintains the RDT&E enterprise infrastructure services in support all of SPAWARSYSCEN Atlantic employees and projects at all command locations.

 

The scope includes enterprise infrastructure engineering and operations services as it relates to the engineering, implementation, and day-to-day operations of the network infrastructure. The support will include Tier 2 and 3 Network infrastructures, enterprise core services, and network security. The support includes, but is not limited to, engineering, setup and configuration of active directory, LDAP, domain controlled systems, data at rest, patch management, cisco and juniper networking infrastructure, HBSS/EPO operations, firewalls, VPNs, IDS/IPS engineering/implementation/support.

 

Additional support in performing troubleshooting and problem resolution for hardware and software issues; device vulnerability resolution; troubleshooting of connectivity problems; entering, updating, and closing trouble tickets for user reported problems, and compiling trouble call statistics and other performance metrics as necessary.

Responsibilities

  • Ability to plan and organize work and interact with technical and non-technical personnel translating user requirements into responsive applications
  • Demonstrated detailed knowledge of IA concepts and requirements
  • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of DOD military specifications and standards
  • System design integration planning for multiple large-scale installations
  • Hardware and software Evaluation
  • Application and System Assessments, planning execution and management
  • System requirements planning and oversight
  • Technical development product milestone scheduling
  • Installation and configuration of hardware and software capabilities listed in PWS
  • Demonstrated experience of deploying 3000+ user virtual desktop infrastructure

Qualifications

  • Active Secret Clearance required
  • Technical Training in the field directly relevant to the task performed.
  • Five years (5) of hands on experience with a capability cited in the Performance Work Statement, Section 3 and to include three (3) of the following six (6) areas: software requirements, operational requirements, installation, test and evaluation, advanced system architecture, and training.
  • Certification in at least one the following: (a) Routing/Switching/Networking for Juniper or Cisco, (b) OS for Windows or Linux Variant, (c) VMWare, (d) Firewalls (e) MS SQL, (f) Active Directory, or (g) SPLUNK, (h) VMware Horizon.
  • Recognized expert who has demonstrated industry and public service leadership in relevant technical field
  • Demonstrated experience in at least three of the following areas:
    • Ability to plan and organize work and interact with technical and non-technical personnel translating user requirements into responsive application
    • Demonstrated detailed knowledge of IA concepts and requirements
    • Demonstrated comprehensive knowledge of DOD military specifications and standards
    • System design integration planning for multiple large-scale installations
    • Hardware and software Evaluation

    • System requirements planning and oversight
    • Technical development product milestone scheduling
