  • Overview

    This position will emphasis expertise in physical security systems a part of support team providing Data Center services for the United States Coast Guard (USCG) Operations Systems Center (OSC) located in Kearneysville, WV. Reports to the Program Manager and plans and executes tasking in defined areas of responsibility.

    Responsibilities

    • Areas of Responsibility: Apply subject matter expertise in the following areas of Data Center IT and physical security systems, recommending and applying best practices of current data center security technologies.
    • Access Control: Provide subject matter expertise regarding all aspects of access control systems, including potential improvements and industry best practices.
    • Intrusion Detection: Provide subject matter expertise regarding all aspects of intrusion detection systems, including potential improvements and industry best practices.
    • Video Surveillance: Provide subject matter expertise regarding all aspects of video surveillance systems, including potential improvements and industry best practices.
    • Security Network: Provide subject matter expertise regarding all aspects of the security network, including potential improvements and industry best practices.
    • Security Systems Documentation: Develop and update security systems documentation to include documenting the configuration, instructions, and drawings of the systems, including diagrams of the security systems, including location of assets and network topology.
    • Configuration Documentation: Provide documentation of the configuration of the systems, including device locations, settings, and IP addresses, etc.
    • User Guides: Provide documentation illustrating how to use all applicable security systems.

    Qualifications

    • Seven (7) or more years of experience directly relevant to areas of responsibilities described for the position.
    • Demonstrated ability to independently plan, organize, and execute task completion, including supervising less experienced personnel.
    • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
    • Associates Degree in Computer Science, Business, or related area (two years of additional, directly relevant experience/relevant industry certifications may be substituted for the degree.)
    • DoDi 8570 IA Certification required (CompTIA Security+) required.
    • Top Secret Clearance required.
    • Must be able to pass DHS - USCG Background Investigation and Suitability Determination.
