    Enterprise Information Services (EIS) is currently seeking an Engineering Technician for a Network Support program located in Norfolk, VA. EIS is a leading mid-tier solutions integrator providing Systems Engineering, Information Technology, and Program Management Office (PMO) services and solutions to the Federal Government for more than 20 years. EIS employs more than 400 professionals in 40 locations in over 25 states and OCONUS.

    Responsibilities

    Provide IT support which may include monitoring local and remote network switches for availability, port configuration, and MAC address blockage; insuring correct VLAN assignment.; resolving user issues; tracking assets (laptops, desktops, servers, virtual machines, printers/MFD’s, and network appliances); reviewing STIG requirements for routers and switches; monitoring system for network connectivity problems; migration of equipment and devices in racks from one location to another; interfacing with customers, teammates, users, and other contractors.

    Qualifications

    • Active DoD Secret Clearance with SSBI (Tier 5) background investigation.
    • Experience: Twelve (12) years of practical experience in Information Technology field. Six (6) years of experience, to include: installation of such equipment. Two (2) years of experience, to include: design, preparation and modification of engineering documents, and drawings. Six (6) years of experience in Information Technology discipline, of which 3 must have been performed within the last 5 years. Note: Experience may be concurrent.
    • Education: Associate’s Degree in Information Technology, Engineering Technology, or suitable military training school.
    • Certifications: 8570 IAT II Certification (e.g. Security+, GSEC, SSCP or CCNA-Security)
