  • Overview

    Provide Acquisition Program Management Support to the USCG ISVS Project.  Position is located at USCG HQ in Washington, DC.

    Responsibilities

    Provide naval architecture support to the Program Office for a USCG Acquisition Project: 


    Examples of work to be performed include:

    • Development of documents to support Acquisition Decision Events in accordance with the Major Systems Acquisition Manual COMDTINST M5000.10D, including briefs, reports and acquisition program management plans;
      • Development includes drafting, technical editing, coordination of document review, compilation and adjudication of comments, version tracking and routing for signature;
    • Technical review of program contract documents received from prime system contractors including plans, engineering drawings, calculations and logistics analyses and artifacts;
    • Provide assistance with tasks associated with general scheduling, data management, communications, logistics and technical tasks;
    • Engineering Change Proposal and Time Compliant Task Order development and revision, document research, reviewing and revising asset specifications and drawings;
    • Providing acquisition and administrative support
    • Providing subject matter expertise in areas such as combat systems, air systems, C4ISR systems, infrastructure and facilities, and testing support of the HM&E and C4ISR systems;
    • Support also includes cost analysis, procurement support, and the review and editing of existing work products and analyses

    Qualifications

    • Bachelor of Science (BS) Degree in Naval Architecture or
    • PE License in Naval Architecture plus ten (10) years of relevant experience.
    • Five (5) years of progressive experience involving, ship feasibility, concept, preliminary and contract design, design integration, stability analysis, structural analysis, hydrodynamic and sea keeping analysis and vessel arrangements.
    • Able to pass a Government Background check an obtain a DHS USCG Public Trust
