  • Overview

    The USCG Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Project Office requires engineering, technical and program management support for the CG-9335 Program Office to execute its respective management, collaboration, and oversight responsibilities. This position will provide support to perform engineering, technical research, analysis, and program management support to aid in the design and development of Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence, Surveillance and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) systems for surface and shore-based assets including Polar Ice Breaker (PIB).

    Responsibilities

    Provide engineering, technical and program management support to the Coast Guard CG-9335 SCIF Project Lead and CG-9335 PM/Engineering Lead for Coast Guard’s Shipboard and Shore-side Intelligence Systems (i.e. Tactical Cryptologic System) and other C5I (Command, Control, Communication, Computers, Cyber, Intelligence) systems (e.g. Interior/Exterior communications systems, Command and Control etc.) in accordance with the guidance, practices and policies set forth in the Major System Acquisition Manual (MSAM) COMDTINST M5000.10 (series), Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC).

     

    Provide C4ISR engineering, technical support and program management support to the Coast Guard CG-9335 PM/ Engineering lead for Polar Ice Breaker’s before-delivery and after-delivery C4ISR systems in accordance with the guidance, practices and policies set forth in the Major System Acquisition Manual (MSAM) COMDTINST M5000.10 (series), Systems Engineering Lifecycle (SELC).

    Qualifications

    • Earned Bachelor’s of Science degree

    • At least 6-10 years of knowledge and experience in the design and integration of C4ISR systems including intelligence systems.
    • Active SECRET clearance (minimum)
    • This position requires regular travel to and work onboard US Coast Guard Vessels.
    • Must be ability to sit and stand for hours at a time, must be able to bend, twist, reach, push/pull, step over 12" thresholds and climb steep stairways both ascending and descending.
    • Must be able to work effectively outside in freezing cold and temperatures as hot at one hundred degrees
    • Must be able to tolerate diesel fumes and other shipboard orders.
    • Must be able to see and hear warnings as a shipboard safety measure.
    • Must have the ability to operate a computer keyboard, distinguish colors on a color monitor, use the telephone, write and read the English language. .
    • 30% Overnight Travel is required
