Overview

This position shall provide support for IA/Cybersecurity activities related to the Assessment and Authorization (A&A) process for systems supporting the Navy Integrated Service Desk (ISC) in Norfolk, VA.

Responsibilities

Responsibilities to include but not limited to: creating, updating, and monitoring A & A documentation using Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles; applying National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST) and Department of Navy (DoN) audit controls; assist with development and monitoring of Plans of Actions and Milestones (POA&M); monitoring and updating the Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) and Enterprise Mission Assurance Support Service (eMASS) systems as necessary; complying with Command Task Orders (CTOs); analyzing and remediating IA Vulnerability Alerts and Bulletins (IAVA/Bs) as necessary, and in accordance with Department of Defense (DoD) and DoN policy.

Qualifications

  • Min Secret Clearance
  • Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent experience
  • Minimum Security+ Certified to qualify as a member of the Information Assurance (IA)/Cybersecurity Workforce - minimum IAT Level II in accordance with DoD 8570.01M. Ideally pursuing CISSP certification or equivalent.
  • Preferred 5 years of experience with DoD Information Assurance Certification and Accreditation Process (DIACAP) or Risk Management Framework (RMF) principles and comprehensive understanding of NIST security policies and industry best practices in order to appropriately maintain accreditation documentation and ability to articulate periodic updates to Government client as requested.
  • Working knowledge utilizing the Vulnerability Remediation Asset Manager (VRAM) (or any future online reporting system) for Information Assurance Vulnerability Management (IAVM)
  • Prior experience should include system hardening ability utilizing a variety of sources including DoD DISA STIG guidelines for Windows and Unix type servers.
  • Work to be performed at Norfolk Naval Shipyard.
